Teaching Mindful Hatha Yoga in London

Hatha yoga is just not about movement it is about the connection of all that we are, to obtain moments of sheer clarity and vision, the moment when we become one. I aim to provide my students with tools like learning yoga poses mindfully, pranayama, meditation and Yoga Nidra, to be able to look at and listen to their bodies’ needs and to subsequently become more in touch with themselves, their breathing and their minds.

I meant to thank you for your audioguides as well as for your fabulous classes every week.

I have just finished the intentional breath meditation, which I carried on for 35min and took me on a truly extra bodily experience. You are a continuous source of inspiration, and in the last 4 years you have helped me to awaken in so many ways with all the mindfulness tips that your classes are full of and that inevitably I take home with me and trickle through many moments of my days. I am not sure where I am heading to but I am glad I embarked on this yoga and spiritual journey as its making me very happy.

A big fat thank you!

See you in class.

Alessandra

Thank you

After two more days of travel, but this time with lots of meetings and no yoga 🙁 , I am able to find time to say thank you for your teaching and support on our wonderful Slovenian extravaganza. So much more than ‘just’ a yoga retreat! I have returned with a new focus for my time on the mat, have developed mindfulness skills that I can put into action off the mat and have lots of wonderful memories with you, the Klavže crew and the yoga gang to keep me sane over the coming months.

I look forward to our paths crossing again soon.

Best wishes,

Cat

Thank you for a great introduction to yoga in Slovenia.

Although I was a beginner I never felt lost and there were modified poses for me when I needed them.

Thanks again and regards,

Alex.

A big thank you for such an enjoyable yoga workshop

Firstly I wish to tell you that I loved your workshop. It was very peaceful and we all felt warm & welcomed.

I found everything very helpful & learned facts I did not know. The pace suited me perfectly in my practice..and everyone else I spoke to at the workshop. Each step led into the next stage carefully & clearly.

You have developed a beautiful method, you teach so clearly the understanding that relaxation is the way to maximum benefit.. is so helpful.

I recommend your class to anyone that is interested as I know the benefits it gives to me.

For me, it was a magical afternoon of peace & good health which I cannot wait to experience again.

Thank you Laurent..you have a follower in me!

Kudos for these fantastic yoga holidays

I had such a great time in Klavze. The place is fantastic and the views were simply stunning (perfect for my daily meditation). Laurent was a helpful teacher and looked after all the students. I felt really supported on my yoga practice. Worthy to mention the house and our host Ben. Food was simply amazing and we all had a great time not only being together at that magical location but also enjoying the rafting. I would definitely recommend it and I am planning now to go next year.

An excellent teacher

It is clear from the way Laurent teaches that he has done lots of work on his own practice and explored the way his body moves from within, and he’s keen to help you find your own way too … at the end of our class I felt relaxed but well exercised.

The classes were fun and informative

I regularly practise fast paced Vinyasa at home so found Hatha yoga to be the perfect change for a relaxed retreat, with Laurent paying special attention to every participant (and their respective injuries) and making us all feel very comfortable. The classes were fun and informative and despite being a regular practioner I learnt a lot about refining my poses.

I particularly liked the way he came at well known postures from a different angle…

It is clear from the way Laurent teaches that he has done lots of work on his own practice and explored the way his body moves from within, and he’s keen to help you find your own way too. Like many Scaravelli teachers, he is more interested in finding how the body feels on the inside and moving from a very deep place, than he is in finding the perfect shape to the posture.
Unlike some Scaravelli teachers, though, Laurent is not averse to a bit of flow, and a bit of dynamism, as a contrast. I particularly liked the way he came at well known postures from a different angle, which meant I was able to experience them in a different way, rather than just going through the motions – as can sometimes happen with classics like Adho Mukha Savasana (downward-facing dog) or Marjarayasana (cat pose).
I also liked how he integrates pranayama into the postures, rather than simply separating it out at the end. I found Laurent’s class to be playful and exploratory, caring but fun, intense and deep but without being serious or severe. It’s a really nice combination, and at the end of our class I felt relaxed but well exercised
