Return to Vitality: A Breath and Body Retreat
Malaga, Spain · 19 April 2026 – 26 April 2026
AvailableOverview
Andalusia has always felt like home. The warmth of the people, the golden light, and the slower pace of life in the Mediterranean create the perfect setting to step away from daily routines and reconnect with yourself.
Set in an award-winning, beautifully restored Andalusian farmhouse — Santillán — this retreat offers a tranquil escape from daily life, surrounded by vast gardens and open landscapes that stretch towards the Mediterranean.
With an exceptional, fully equipped yoga studio designed for focus and comfort, you will have the space to explore yoga, somatic work, breathwork, meditation, and deep rest in a way that feels both grounding and revitalising.
Beyond the practice, you can relax by the saltwater pool, enjoy fresh Mediterranean meals, walk in the nearby hills with stunning views, or take a short trip to the beach.
Programme
Late April in Andalusia is a time of renewal, re-energising, and revitalisation. During this breath-centred retreat, you will learn a range of modern breathwork and pranayama techniques that will support you to breathe more effectively, regulate emotional states, rebuild your energy, and develop inner resilience through practical, embodied tools.
Each day includes guided breath practices with somatic movement, therapeutic yoga, rest, and supportive techniques — all intended to re-energise your body, enhance mental clarity, and help you feel more present and alive.
Morning masterclass: 9:30 to 11:30. Themed explorative sessions combining therapeutic yoga, Scaravelli-inspired yoga, somatic and mindful yoga, breathwork, pranayama, meditation, and yoga nidra.
Evening session: 6:00 to 7:30. Calming, grounding meditative practices. Restorative yoga, somatic exercises, breathwork, and meditation.
Daily schedule: Pre-yoga tea and coffee at 8:00. Morning masterclass 9:30 to 11:30. Brunch 12:30. Free time until 6:00. Evening workshop 6:00 to 7:30. Dinner at 8:00.
What's unique about this venue?
Centro Santillán is a beautifully restored Andalusian farmhouse set within 50,000 square metres of secluded gardens overlooking the sea, just 20 minutes from Málaga Airport. The grounds are generous and unhurried: saltwater pool, pine gardens, hiking trails, and open terraces where the afternoons stretch out quietly in the southern light.
The accommodation is warm and carefully considered, with the kind of comfort that supports rest rather than distraction. Meals are freshly prepared using local produce, eaten together at long tables with garden views.
The practice space is exceptional. The Carlo Classic Studio is a purpose-built 170 square metre shala with expansive sea views, abundant natural light, and a deep sense of stillness that is immediately apparent when you walk in.
The floor is sprung and thermally insulated, and the studio is fully equipped with everything needed for a serious, varied practice: high-quality mats, bolsters, slant boards, chairs, sandbags, and The Great Wall yoga system with 24 rope stations adjustable to five different heights. Ceiling fans, biomass heating, dimmable lighting, and a clear acoustic system complete a space that has been designed with genuine care.
The Telegraph named it one of the best yoga studios in Europe. Having taught there, Laurent would agree.
